Fostering an Online Learning Environment to Develop Literacy Skills

Abstract
In the quest for viable options for developing 21st century literacy skills the development of an asynchronous environment that fosters interaction and a sense of community learning has become an alternative method.
This presentation surveys online learning tools that promote information literacy and communication including weblogs, blogging and digital portfolios.
