| Hello
I'm Julie Lindsay, welcome to my digital teaching portfolio!
I have created
my teaching portfolio to provide a means of communication between
myself and interested viewers. I want this portfolio to give insight
into my experiences with the education process and to document my
participation as a lifelong student and a committed and enthusiastic
teacher.
I am hoping
this portfolio will reveal how I have always striven to work on
the cutting edge of educational thought and practice. I am aware
of current trends and standards in international education and have
a global perspective on the use of technology and its integration
into the curriculum. Briefly, my educational
philosophy revolves around instilling a 'want to to learn' rather
than a 'have to learn' approach in my students. Through my own enthusiasm
for a subject I aim to motivate and inspire.
The intention
of creating a digital portfolio is to collate, organise, and expand
in time, artifacts and records from a varied teaching career to
give interested colleagues, students and prospective employers a
perspective into who I am, where I have come from and where I am
going in education.
It is a 'work in progress' and as such will always
be dynamic in nature. I expect to add and withdraw certain items
as my career in education develops. You, the viewer, are welcome
to visit anytime to see what I am up to!
